I Heart Faces - Pets Week!!

I LOVE, LOVE all the weekly challenges over at I Heart Faces. I've seen so many inspirational photos over the months that I've visited their site, BUT this week is a little different. The theme is PETS! We have 2 dogs at our house, both Black Lab/Border Collie Mixes.

My photo for this week is of our boy dog, Dakota.


He was out in the yard with the whole family and obviously, something sparked his interest. Love how his ears have perked up!

New Backdrops

I went to JoAnn's recently and bought fabric for new backdrops. I got 7 different fabrics, but only 2 are large enough to hang.
I rounded up the kids and did an impromptu shoot. I think they are going to be wonderful! Enjoy =)

Fix It Friday

Once again it is Fix It Friday over at I Heart Faces!





This image was a challenge with the dramatic sun flare, but I'm really happy with the results =)





Before:




Edit 1:

Edited in ACR (increasing the blacks, vibrance and only decreasing the exposure a little.)
Then on to PSE 7 where I did a slight levels adjustment on the midtones, used the dodge to lighten his face and burn on his clothes and a few of the highlights. The final adjustment was to increase the contrast +33.









Edit 2:

From edit #1 I used the Champagne Haze action from Florabella.

I edited with ACR (increasing the exposure and brightness quite a bit and bumping up the temperature, contrast and vibrance just a little.)

Then over to PSE 7: I cloned out a few crazy hairs and then ran the Coffeeshop actions: Glamour Glow and Little Perk.

Before/After Blog Hop

This is my first experience entering the Pixel Perfect: Before/After Blog Hop!

Fix It Friday

Here is my first ever submission for Fix It Friday over at I HEART FACES.

The original.

My fix using ACR and PSE 7.

I began in Adobe Camera Raw by increasing the blacks, contrast, fill light and slightly increasing the brightness.

Once in PSE I ran 2 different actions:

~ Glamour Glow from CoffeeShop

~Joanna's Memories of Sunshine from CoffeeShop

I hope you like it, I think it turned out quite nicely =)
