Simplicity Photo Challenge: Eyes

Faith's photo challenge this week is: EYES! Seriously my favorite part of a face to photograph =)

My photo this week is of a session I just finished last night (which is why y'all haven't seen any workshop pics yet!)


Sweet Baby Hudson and his AMAZING eyes! (I literally did nothing to his eyes during post processing.- except the change to b&w) They really are that stunning!

Simplicity Photo Challenge

Faith over at Simplicity is having her weekly photo challenge and the theme this week is: Portrait. I thought it was great that she explained that a portrait is very different than a snapshot. Here is the definition from wikipedia to help explain: Portrait "...a composed image of a person in a still position. A portrait often shows a person looking directly at the painter or photographer, in order to most successfully engage the subject with the viewer."

Here is my entry for Portrait!

From a family photo session this week. She is a beautiful 11 year-old, big sister to two little brothers. =) It was great that she got some pictures for herself too!

Simplicity Photo Challenge

I'm a little late (thankfully not too late) for Faith's Simplicity Photo Challenge. This weeks theme is Flowers. As I've said before nature photography isn't my thing. But thanks to a wonderful getaway this past weekend I have a great flower photo!

These yellow flowers are all over SW Oklahoma and I just LOVE them!


I don't know what's up with me and textures lately but I really love how this edit turned out =)

This picture is from our trip to AZ last month. My husband, daughter and son at the park. I really liked how the texture added something to the photo.
