The {M} Family 1st Photo Session

Busy, busy, busy. That's awesome yet a little bit overwhelming. It's a good problem to have right ;)

I was so excited that the {M} family asked me to do their 1st EVER family photo session! I was secretly hoping I'd get to do some newborn shots of little Sam, but 10 weeks old isn't too bad!

It has been SO cold here that we only ventured outside for a few short minutes, then back into the house!

We definitely got some beautiful photos of them all!!!

The {D} Family Photo Session

A few weeks ago the {D} Family and I braved the cold, the freezing cold to get family pictures out at beautiful Quartz Mountain!

The kids were such troopers. Here are a few of my favorites!

This tree is amazing. I'm so happy that the D Family was feeling adventurous and climbed up!

There was a wedding at the Resort that evening. Someone brought this vintage tractor (to use as a photo prop I'm assuming). Since no one was around we couldn't resist using it too!!!

There is a bridge on the road that leads to the resort. I've always wanted to photograph someone there.

The light was a challenge but look at all the beauty in this shot!!!

A beautiful family in a beautful location, you can't go wrong!!!

The {T} Family Maternity Session

My Arizona trip was full of wonderful experiences. I was so honored to do a maternity session for my husband's brother Ryan and sister-in-law Marissa! They are expecting their first child, a little girl in January! Yeah for me...a new niece!

They were a joy to shoot! Even puppy Harley got in a few good shots!

Fix It Friday #74

The photo for this week's Fix It Friday is from one of the lovely ladies I met at the Dream Big Workshop in Dallas, Dana Suggs! He daughter is adorable!!!

This picture was actually taken the day after the advanced workshop, at the beginners workshop. I've seen several photos from the photo sessions they did and I wish I would've been at that workshop too!

Here is the SOOC:

My edit:

I had fun playing around with this image. I did a bunch of increases in ACR (temperature, brightness, contrast, vibrance and saturation.) Then in PSE 7 I cropped the image, added a warming photo filter, increased the contrast (+20, I think) and then ran the Coffeeshop action Color Pop. TaDa!!!

Check out more of the edits over at I Heart Faces! Thanks Dana for the adorable pic!!

The {G} Family At Fountain Park

This was a special session for me. I was back in Arizona for my high school's 10 year reunion. We had a great time but the best part was re-connecting with one of my very best high school friends, Sarah. I was so happy when she asked if I would do a family session for her and her husband Greg and their sweet, tiny little girl, Avery!

Photobucket
Isn't she such a cutie!?!

It was a bright, beautiful day at Fountain Park. We were able to get so many great shots!

Pixel Perfect Blog Hop

It's been a while since I have entered Monica's blog hop over at Pixel Perfect. But while editing this families session I knew I wanted to save this photo for the blog hop!

SOOC:

Edit:

I had to remove the cow out of the background. I was able to do that with the Spot Healing Brush and the Clone Stamp tools. I then tweaked the brightness, contrast and saturation. Finished!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day =)

Dream Big Workshop Part 2- All In The Details

Wow, it's taken me a while to get back to the recaps from the amazing I Heart Faces Dream Big Workshop in Dallas. I already did a review on the entire workshop and preview the different customized photo shoots we had. In Part 2 it "All In The Details!"

Angie and Amy put together an adorable stylized bithday party for us to shoot. Before the little girls came we had the chance to take pictures of all the little items and details of the party. It's not something I've done before so I found it a bit challenging at first. After a while I started getting into it and I think I got some really nice shots!

Here are my favorites:

The best part is that I've since started paying better attention to all the 'little details' when shooting different events (including my sister-in-laws baby shower and my daughters upcoming 3rd birthday!)
