Summer Water Fun!

It's been SOOO Hot here in Oklahoma! Over 100 degrees every day! So the kids and I brought out the best summer activity......the sprinkler!

Ah, the joys of summer =)

Edit Me Week 6

The photo for this week's Edit Me is a little out of my comfort zone. I really like to focus on portraits, not too much on plants/landscapes/etc. So I figured I should still try it and also do some editing that's a little out there for me. So here we go!

I opened it up in ACR and increased the blacks, fill light, vibrance and saturation. Then in PSE 7 I made a large crop and ran Coffeeshop actions CrossProcessing and Johnna's Memories of Sunshine with many adjustments within the layers. At the end I used Unsharp Mask. There ya have it. A bit different for me but I think I like it!!!!

I started in LR3 and then in PSE 7. I cloned out the hand (from his Mama). Then ran Florabella Luxe II action: Timeless. A little bit of sharpening and voila!

I Heart Faces: Bright & Vivid

What a fun and colorful prompt this week at I Heart Faces! I had a fun newborn session this weekend and sweet baby {C} had the most bright and vivid quilt I'd ever seen! We had to use it for some pictures and it's perfect for this week's theme!

It's definitely a 'keeper' now! (And looks even better in the large version of the image!)

I'm Baaaaack....and on Pinterest!

Hey everyone!!!! We're back from our vacation to San Antonio and somewhat settled again in SW Oklahoma. We had a heck of a time and I can't wait to show a few of the over 200 photos I have!

In the meantime I wanted to let you all know that I've joined a great semi-new website, Pinterest! It is a very cool (& addicting) website that allows you to "pin" things all over the web and keep them for yourself on different boards. Kinda think of it like when I used to collect magazine articles from all over and try and keep them organized in a folder....but this is SO MUCH EASIER! One of the other cool things is that you can follow others and see what they find ('pin'). It's the ultimate way to share the blog love as it also automatically references where the original link was from!

I've just begun but already have a few boards filling up. Please feel free to check out my Pinterest boards and follow along! It's so much fun!
