The {M} Family Deployment Reunion

Last week I had the amazing opportunity to photograph a families reunion after a 6-month deployment.

It was a fantastic reunion and I think the pictures speak for themselves =)

The {B} Family

It was another scorcher on the day of the the {B} families photo session. BUT, they handled it like champs! Just amazing for a family of 6!
I just about fell over when I saw the two boys with their hair styled in little spikey mohawks! I LOVED IT! Everyone got to wear 2 outfits so we had a wonderful array of looks, backgrounds and styles for this great group. Enjoy!

The {O} Family

The second session I had the opportunity to shoot was for the {O} family. They have been long-time family friends of my parents. I was thrilled when Sandi contacted me to do a family session with their two young boys.

She warned me that it may be the toughest session I've ever done ;) I assured her that it would be fine and that we'd get some great images. While the boys were not bringing the big smiles that day, we did get some wonderful family, fun pictures =)

The {M} Family

While I was in Arizona, I had the opportunity to do 3 photo sessions. What an honor it is to have wonderful clients in Oklahoma and "back home" in the Phoenix area!

The first session I did was for the {M} family. Melissa has been a friend of my husband's since they were in school! Melissa contacted me about doing a mini-session for her parent. What a wonderful gift!!! Of course, she was there too and I had to get her in a few pics as well =)

Photobucket

This was the first time I had met Melissa or her parents and let me just say how absolutely wonderful and charming they all were! I can't wait to get back to AZ and see them again =)

The {S} Family

I LOVED this session, everything about it. The {S} family was one of the very first families we met when we moved to Oklahoma. Vicki and I became fast friends and during one of our long conversations, she gave me the push I needed to venture out into the photography business! Their family was out of the state for a while and I was SO thrilled when they returned that she asked for a family session with a special little twist of doing some pictures for Sophia's 3rd birthday!!!

There were SO many images that I LOVED from this session that I couldn't choose so you're going to see a lot of them! Even Titus, the dog was included =)

Enjoy, I know I did!!!

Super silly girl with her daddy!

Photobucket
I don't remember why they were laughing, but I love this shot!
Photobucket Titus looking so regal! Granted it was 105 degrees outside!

Photobucket
I LOVED this blue parasol and it matched perfectly with her dress and little tutu from her birthday party!

Photobucket
Does it get better than a pink tutu with cowgirl boots and a splash of attitude?!?

This was literally the last picture I took. I LOVE everything about it =)

What a memorable session. I just don't know how they are going to choose a favorite ;)

The {B} Family

This was such a fun and easy session! The kids were absolutely wonderful and I loved when Joanna told me that she likes to smile and have happy family pictures. I totally agree with that!!!

The {S} Family

This was a special session. I was privledged enough to photograph Leah and her family only a few short weeks before she left on a military deployment. Both she and her husband are in the Air Force and I was so happy to share this time with them and give the family some happy images to enjoy during their difficult summer and fall.

We had a wonderful session together! Please keep Leah and the entire {S} family in your prayers. =)

The {T} Family: On The Windiest Day Ever

I just adore this family! Audrey is one of the friendliest, most caring, helpful and giving people I've ever met! I'm so honored to have her as my friend and to know this family! An amazing Mama, 3 adorable boys, one precious little girl and a husband that serves our country! Does it get better than that!?!

Here are some of the images from their family photo session. I had to be one of the windiest days in Oklahoma!!! We survived it to get some adorable photos. Enjoy!

52 Week Project- Week 5

This week's theme for MCP's 52 week project is: Muse. After looking it up, the most basic definition is "inspiration."

So here is my muse - or - inspiration:

My family. The little man was sleeping but here is a sweet moment between the other members of my family. =)

I'm also including this as my Before/After picture for the blog hop at Pixel Perfect.

SOOC:

Edit:

I don't exactly remember my editing process for this image. (I'm going a little crazy staying inside during this snow storm) Of course it went through LR3 and PSE7, with a Florabella Luxe action I believe. Oh, that reminds me. Florabella just released their Luxe II action set yesterday! The Before/Afters are beautiful!!!! Its currently only available for the full version of Photoshop (CS5, etc) but the Elements version is already in the works. I can't wait to get my hands on those actions! Fun, fun fun!

Hope you're doing well where ever you are! At least we still have power here in OK!!!

The {K} Family Photo Session

Two weeks ago the {K} Family and I braved the Oklahoma cold (and wind) to get some family pictures. John is an avid photographer himself so the pressure was on! ;)

These were also the first professional pictures for baby JJ!

Everyone did so well and we got a LOT of smiles!

Finding My Holiday Joy!

I'm so excited to make an album out of the images I've captured during Kelly Willette's Finding Your Holiday Joy class! Here is a sampling of the pages I've created so far! (the background is white, so it does look a little strange ;)

I'll definitely be posting some pictures of the album when it gets here!

The {H} Family in Purple

I so enjoyed taking my most photographed family out to Quartz Mountain for some beautiful fall family photos. Megan worked really hard to find beautiful purple shirts for everyone. I have to say I think the color looks absolutely amazing!!!

I tried 2 templates again....

I had 2 extra photos that I just couldn't leave out:

The {L} Family- On The Job

I got the chance to photograph on of my favorite, crazy families the other week. One of the locations they were interested in was an airplane! Cool huh? Don is a pilot, like my husband so he was able to make it work! The lighting was a definite challenge not to mention 3 kids age 3 and under ;)

But we definitely got some keepers especailly when we went back to their home and got everyone in front of the Christmas tree!

Oh, and I'm going to try something new today. I recently got a few collages and I trying to see if I'm going to like using these as a way to present my photos. Enjoy and let me know what you think =)
Photobucket
Hm....somehow the image is small than I imagined. Still cute though!

The {M} Family 1st Photo Session

Busy, busy, busy. That's awesome yet a little bit overwhelming. It's a good problem to have right ;)

I was so excited that the {M} family asked me to do their 1st EVER family photo session! I was secretly hoping I'd get to do some newborn shots of little Sam, but 10 weeks old isn't too bad!

It has been SO cold here that we only ventured outside for a few short minutes, then back into the house!

We definitely got some beautiful photos of them all!!!
