Before/After Blog Hop

For this weeks Pixel Perfect Before/After Blog Hop, I was taking pictures of my son in our backyard. I was really trying to focus on getting crisp, clear eyes. I like how this picture looked so I did 2 edits.

Before:



Color Edit:

In ACR I increased the exposure, contrast and vibrance.
Then into PSE 7. I tried a different way of editing those baby blue eyes. I used the lasso tool to select his eyes. Then I increased the brightness (slightly) and the saturation until I liked the look. Then I increased the contrast of the entire picture and sharpened using the high pass filter.


Dramatic B&W edit:

I took the color edited picture and ran my favorite, Florabella B&W Vanilla action. I played with the layer masks until I was happy. LOVE IT!

9 Months Old

I recently did a photo session for 2 friends of mine who both have 9-month-old babies. So with my son also included, we were wrangling 3 nine-month-olds! It was fun but quite a challenge!

I LOVE editing! SO, here's another Fix It Friday from I Heart Faces!

Edited using ACR (increasing the temperature, contrast and vibrance).

Then over to PSE 7 where I cropped the image and ran the Coffeeshop Glamour Glow action then Florabella Vintage Chocolate. I hope you like the results as much as I do!

I wanted to practice using the natural light that comes through the LARGE window in our office/playroom. So, I volunteered my husband ;)

I have SO much fun playing with Photoshop Elements and I think it's great that there is a place where we all can show off what we've created!

Edit 1:

I used ACR to in crease the temperature +4, Exposure +.30, Blacks +3, Contrast +15 and Vibrance +10. Then into PSE 7, where I cropped it slightly and ran Coffeeshop Little Perk!

Edit 2:

Same as Edit 1 and then added the Coffeeshop action: Soft Autumn Glow.

Edit 3:

Same as edit 1 but then converted to B&W with one of my actions (don't remember which one, sorry!)

Pixel Perfect Blog Hop

This week's photo was taken on our vacation in Oklahoma City. I was sick ALL weekend, but happened to capture her in the hotel window.

I played around with this one for quite some time. I started in ACR making minor adjustments. Then to PSE 7, crop, dodging, a photo filter to add warmth then Florabella Action B&W Vanilla.
