Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Well, it's been a while since I've been able to participate in Ashley's Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Thankfully, she took pity on us and gave some relatively easy prompts this week! =) So here we go...

Water:

Photobucket
There has been a bit of snow here this week. Our neighbors were able to build a snowman! Then it turned into a puddle of water.

Quote:

This is the quote on our bedroom wall. Nice little reminder everyday =)

Window:

This is the window on our front door the morning of the first big snow! Cool frost and ice patterns! Love this one!

Activity:

Photobucket
My daughter's favorite activity this week was creating her name with dot markers! We then hung the entire, long set of papers on her bedroom wall =)

Page 25 of a Magazine:

Photobucket
Tough right? Well I LOVE magazines, so I looked at page 25 of each of my magazines and found an advertisement that I used for inspiration. It was a skin cream ad and it only showed 1/2 of the lady's face so here is my daughter's 1/2 face ;) I actually really like how it turned out! Tack sharp on her face. Isn't she cute? =)

Thanks for stopping by! Please feel free to let me know what you think of my images!

Fix It Friday #85

Friday, woo hoo! It's been a LONG week here in OK. We woke up to surprise snow flurries! Yeah, had no idea that was coming....and supposedly, more next week! Should be interesting. =)

So for FIF at I Heart Faces I used the new, awesome Florabella Luxe II actions! Yep, I broke down and purchased the new set. (The 3rd set of Florabella actions I have!) Luckily, I had a lovely email in my inbox today with a $20 off coupon code =)

Anyways, I had to use them ASAP!

SOOC:

Edit 1:

Florabella Luxe II action: Angel

Edit 2:

Florabella Luxe II action: Blush

Edit 3:

Florabella Luxe II action: Film (you know me, I had to use a B&W!)

I totally plan on playing with these actions this weekend on my own images. I can't wait to report back to you all with some great Before/Afters!

Have a great, safe weekend!

52 Week Project- Week 5

This week's theme for MCP's 52 week project is: Muse. After looking it up, the most basic definition is "inspiration."

So here is my muse - or - inspiration:

My family. The little man was sleeping but here is a sweet moment between the other members of my family. =)

I'm also including this as my Before/After picture for the blog hop at Pixel Perfect.

SOOC:

Edit:

I don't exactly remember my editing process for this image. (I'm going a little crazy staying inside during this snow storm) Of course it went through LR3 and PSE7, with a Florabella Luxe action I believe. Oh, that reminds me. Florabella just released their Luxe II action set yesterday! The Before/Afters are beautiful!!!! Its currently only available for the full version of Photoshop (CS5, etc) but the Elements version is already in the works. I can't wait to get my hands on those actions! Fun, fun fun!

Hope you're doing well where ever you are! At least we still have power here in OK!!!

52 Week Project- Week 4

I've decided to officially participate in MCP's 52 week challenge =) You can join anytime so get cracking!!!

Somehow I missed a week. So week 4's theme is: "Soothing Repetition." Hm....interesting. I took a look around MCP's blog, FB page and Official Flickr Group to get a better understanding as to how people were interpreting this theme. Then it came to me. (After considering photographing a group of wine bottles....soothing to me!) My son's pacifier is incredibly soothing to him =) When I looked in the drawer I saw the perfect amount of blue and green pacis. Awesome!

Here is my photo, enjoy!

Soothing Repetition.

If you're interested in participating with this 52 week project Week 5's suggested theme is: Muse.

I Found Some Natural Light!

Yesterday was a beautiful day here in SW Oklahoma! Lots of beautiful sunshine and not a cloud in the sky =)

As I walked into my bedroom something struck me. I bet there would be some great natural light in this room if I opened the shades in the full length windows on the double doors that lead out to the backyard. So I opened them and WOW! How had I never noticed this before, LOL!

When my daughter woke up from her nap, I laid out a white blanket and bribed her to sit down ;) Once she got situated at about a 45 degree angle from the windows I started snapping away. Her face was just beautifully lit up by this soft light streaming in.

Here are a few of the images, the only editing was a slight contrast boost and sharpening for the web.

Oooh, I'm so excited! Now to get my little man to sit down for more than 2 seconds!

Have a great day everyone! You never know when something new and exciting will happen =)

Fix It Friday #84

What a cute baby! The pictures really wasn't the best. The lighting was okay and the beautiful colors in the background left a bit of a color cast.

SOOC:

Edit 1:

My style is usually to be clean and natural (but better ;) Here is that edit using LR3 and PSE7.

Edit 2:

I used the edited image from edit 1 and then ran Florabella's Luxe action in Musette. I tweaked it a bit and actually love the outcome!

Thanks for stopping by and check out more edits of this image at I Heart Faces!
