Simplicity Photo Challenge

Faith over at Simplicity is having her weekly photo challenge and the theme this week is: Portrait. I thought it was great that she explained that a portrait is very different than a snapshot. Here is the definition from wikipedia to help explain: Portrait "...a composed image of a person in a still position. A portrait often shows a person looking directly at the painter or photographer, in order to most successfully engage the subject with the viewer."

Here is my entry for Portrait!

From a family photo session this week. She is a beautiful 11 year-old, big sister to two little brothers. =) It was great that she got some pictures for herself too!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Did you do this in a studio? So pretty.

  2. Thanks Faith! This was outside at a park. She was sitting on a bench in a gazebo and the sky (Clouds) behind her were blown-out due to the exposure, so it looks white =)
